Properly lit stone panels present an interesting convergence of the ancient world and the modern world.
There are very few building materials that were used earlier than natural stone. In fact, that number might be zero. On the other side of the equation, is the electricity that lights, or “back lights,” the stone panels in question. The unique StoneCell process yields a relatively thin layer of stone. This permits the light source to penetrate the stone panel more easily. An effectively lighted stone element will magnificently accent veins, small fissures, unique color ranges, and small occlusions to create a one-of-a-kind visual statement.
